World of WordPress

Being a WordPress enthusiast I strive to find as much information as I can on the subject. Since working with the software I have learned much and continue to do so. The sources from which I have derived my knowledge are diverse and many including following various WordPress-centric mailing lists, reading numerous publications, spending hours pouring over the data in the Codex and of course following those wonderful and sometimes wacky WordPress specific sites. Curiously enough, one of the places where I received most of my education was the one place where I decided to give back to the community - the WordPress Support Forum. Since I'm not a theme creator and I don't write plugins I wanted a way whereby I could help out others so I became a forum volunteer answering support tickets. It was in the forum I came across countless golden nuggets of knowledge by perusing threads I wasn't involved in - who knew!

However, the most fun I ever had (and continue to have) while learning the ins and outs of the most powerful and versatile blogging/CMS software in the known universe is by following those aforementioned wonderful and sometimes wacky WordPress specific sites. My list of sites is ever changing and continues to evolve as some sites come and go but for the most part the list is fairly stable. My reason for creating such a list is twofold:

  1. It is a way of thanking the various authors whose sites greatly contributed (and continue to contribute) to my WordPress education.
  2. It is good to create and share lists like this as it may expose you to a few sites you never previously heard about.

So without further adieu I present to you my own private WordPress blogroll. Be sure to visit each and every one of these sites. You won't regret it.
