Occupation - Employed in the roofing trade
Interests - Politics, blogging, computers, theoretical physics, reading, science fiction, sports, weight lifting, history (with an emphasis on ancient Egypt) and most forms of music especially jazz.
Favourites - Peanut butter and banana sandwiches, CFL football and all things science fiction from literature to television to film. Favourite writer is Ray Bradbury with Kurt Vonnegut coming in a close second. Favourite television show is Stargate SG-1. (the older ones that is, not the newer ones - the Goa'uld rule!) while top movie pick is Lord of the Rings. Nothing tops a BBQ'd steak and a cold beer after a hard day's work.
Brief history - Born and raised in Winnipeg, I attended a private Catholic school for the first 9 years of my schooling life finishing the remainder in the public school system. I have worked in several fields including being self-employed for nearly 13 years.
The blogging bug bit me in the spring of 2000 and I have not recovered since. In September of 2004 I began to blog about one of my passions, politics. It was then that I created my first serious blog riteturnonly hosted on the Blogger servers. In September of 2006 I purchased the domain riteturnonly.com and moved my Blogger blog there.
Due to my new found fascination with WordPress and my waning interest in politics I started to write about... you guessed it, WordPress. I read as much material on the topic as I could find and eventually started helping out in the WordPress support forums. In the spring of 2007, due to my disdain for the political climate in this country, I began to shift the focus of riteturnonly.com away from politics concentrating almost exclusively on WordPress. I went so far as to create a subdomain for riteturnonly.com so that I could relocate the political material there and use the main site to write about the greatest blogging/CMS software in the known universe. As fate would have it I was not satisfied. I needed a new home for my WordPress scribblings and thus was born WordPress Canada.

Aside from running 2 blogs, I'm active in several places around the web including being a moderator at Weblog Tools Collection forum and BloggerForum as well as writing for A Western Heart to name a few.
