Occupation - Employed in the roofing trade
Interests - Politics, blogging, computers, theoretical physics, reading, science fiction, sports, weight lifting, history (with an emphasis on ancient Egypt) and most forms of music especially jazz.
Favourites - Peanut butter and banana sandwiches, CFL football and all things science fiction from literature to television to film. Favourite writer is Ray Bradbury with Kurt Vonnegut coming in a close second. Favourite television show is Stargate SG-1. (the older ones that is, not the newer ones - the Goa'uld rule!) while top movie pick is Lord of the Rings. Nothing tops a BBQ'd steak and a cold beer after a hard day's work.
Brief history - Born and raised in Winnipeg, I attended a private Catholic school for the first 9 years of my schooling life finishing the remainder in the public school system. I have worked in several fields including being self-employed for nearly 13 years.
The blogging bug bit me in the spring of 2000 and I have not recovered since. In September of 2004 I began to blog about one of my passions, politics. It was then that I created my first serious blog riteturnonly hosted on the Blogger servers. In September of 2006 I purchased the domain riteturnonly.com and moved my Blogger blog there.
Due to my new found fascination with WordPress and my waning interest in politics I started to write about... you guessed it, WordPress. I read as much material on the topic as I could find and eventually started helping out in the WordPress support forums. In the spring of 2007, due to my disdain for the political climate in this country, I began to shift the focus of riteturnonly.com away from politics concentrating almost exclusively on WordPress. I went so far as to create a subdomain for riteturnonly.com so that I could relocate the political material there and use the main site to write about the greatest blogging/CMS software in the known universe. As fate would have it I was not satisfied. I needed a new home for my WordPress scribblings and thus was born WPCanada.
Aside from running this place, I'm active in several places around the web including writing the occasional article for Weblog Tools Collection as well as pulling admin duties in their forums and lending a hand in the WordPress supports forums when time allows.
