Theme Foundry Releases Avid

The Theme Foundry announced the release of a brand spanking new theme called Avid.

After many long hours of tweaking and polishing, we’re happy to announce the release of the absolutely stunning Avid photography theme.

As you might have guessed Avid is a theme geared towards the photography niche. It boasts a ton of features such as:

  • Built with HTML5 and CSS3
  • Optimized for Retina displays
  • Responsive layout
  • Show or hide tags, categories, author, dates, search and navigation
  • Custom copyright notice
  • Post format support
  • and much more

Avid showcases your posts in the standard chronological format but does so in a beautiful way. You can also display your image posts in several other ways:

  • Gallery/images view – Provides a portal for quickly browsing your gallery posts and their images.
  • Individual gallery – Clicking an individual gallery post will bring you to a slideshow with thumbnail navigation.
  • Homepage template – Sports a large featured slider where each slider item represents one post.

Avid

As with all of their themes you can download a free trial version of Avid to play around with and help you decide if this is the theme for you.
