Moving Away From FeedBurner

A note to our readers: due to the uncertainty surrounding the FeedBurner service we will be dropping them in favour of the default WordPress feed.

Is Google shutting down FeedBurner? I have no idea but it doesn’t look good. First, they removed AdSense from FeedBurner feeds. Then they failed to renew the Feedburner.jp domain. This was followed by the closing of both the FeedBurner blog and Twitter accounts. And in a couple of days their API will shut down. This doesn’t look like a company that is interested in keeping the service going.

To that end I have opted to activate FeedBurner’s 30 day redirection service. What that means is if you are subscribed to our FeedBurner feed you will be automatically redirected to http://wpcanada.ca/feed/ for the next 30 days. After that, the FeedBurner feed will cease to exist.

Now would be a good time to update our feed URL. If you subscribe to this site’s RSS feed please point your feed reader to http://wpcanada.ca/feed/.
