BlogNews Theme Updated v2.3.0

The BlogNews child theme for the Genesis Framework has been updated to v2.3.0. In this version I adjusted the CSS for several elements:

  • added new styling for eNews widget when it appears in sidebar
  • adjusted styling for taxonomy description
  • added styling for display of directional arrows in the Genesis Responsive Slider plugin
  • adjusted styling for breadcrumbs

eNews widget
New styling has been applied to the eNews widget when it is displayed in the sidebar only. If it is used in the footer widgets area it will inherit the normal styling. The screen shot below illustrates what the widget looks like when used in a sidebar widget area.

Taxonomy Description
I adjusted the styling for the taxonomy description when using a title. Previously, this area looked a bit off if you decided to use a heading with the description.

Genesis Responsive Slider
I included a bit of styling in the event someone elected to have the directional arrows displayed when using the plugin. Previously, if you chose to have the arrows displayed they were practically off the chart! I think it looks much neater now. :)

directional arrows

Additonally, I elected to hide the both the directional arrows and the slider excerpt when viewing with a smaller screen. I think this also makes for a cleaner appearance.

Breadcrumbs
I adjusted the responsive styling for the display of breadcrumbs so that it is a bit neater at smaller resolutions.
