BlogNews Theme Updated v2.1

The BlogNews child theme for the Genesis Framework has now been updated to v2.1. This release is a feature enhancement.

• new widget area to home.php
• addition of widgetized 404 error page

A new widget area has been created for the home.php file. It sits right above the widget area containing the Genesis Responsive Slider. This new widget area is an ideal place to display a breaking news alert or announcement etc. You can use a plain old text widget or even the Genesis Featured Posts or Genesis Featured Page widget. BlogNews v2.1 also sports a new widgetized 404 error page. This means you can control what the 404.php file displays by simply adding widgets. Insert a text widget with a message of your choosing, a search form, a Recent Posts widget – you get the idea. You’re limited only by your imagination. Click the link below to see it in action.
