Easter Egg in WordPress 2.6

I've been messing around with WordPress 2.6 on a local install for quite some time and must say I really like it. The folks in the forums that have been complaining about the missing "Press It" feature will be happy to hear it has made a return. While trying to keep current with the wp-testers mailing list I noticed a user reported the presence of a cool Easter Egg. Of course I had to check this out for myself. If you want to see what the fuss is about check out the videocast below. You can enlarge the viewing area by clicking the button next to "Vimeo" at the bottom. And no, I'll not tell you where to find the EG. What fun would that be?

Editor's Note: The video screencast has been updated for WordPress 3.1.2 and is now in HD.

    Len,
Great to see you back here. Keep on writing :)

    Hi Ismail,

Thanks for the words. This has been an extremely busy work season for me and I've not had much time for other things. Guess I have to make some time. :)

You must have a sharp eye, then.

I also downloaded 2.6 for my mirror site, and so far (touch wood), everything has worked just fine (despite some complaints by users out there).

There are some genuine concerns about WP in general, I find, but 2.6 does work.

Btw, are you ever going to blog about politics again, or has it become too boring a subject for you?

    Hi Werner,

Actually I didn't find the EG. I subscribe to the wp-testers mailing list and it was reported by another user. With respect to politics, to tell you truth I've become somewhat disillusioned with the entire process including the politicians themselves. More than likely I'll blog about the subject again. For the time being I'm having more fun blogging about WordPress when I have the time.
